Brigham Health Biomedical Research Institute (BRI) provides award for the Global Health Catalyst

Updated: Oct 8, 2019

The BRI provided a NextGen Award to support the work of the Global Health Catalyst in catalyzing collaborations between different global health initiatives. Collaborators will integrate and synergize efforts beginning with the comprehensive cancer center in the cloud (C4), designed to allow access from anywhere in the world and integrating initiatives led by different PIs and program directors. "We are excited about this award which will allow better coordination of global health initiatives at the Brigham in partnership with other collaborators across Harvard and globally", said Dr Wil Ngwa, Director of the GHC program. The C4 has already won high praise with an award for innovation and impact by the AAPM last year following the pilot phase data. With additional funding from Oxford University, the University of Massachusetts, University of Pennsylvania, diaspora organizations and industry partners, the C4 initiative is growing rapidly into one of the biggest global health efforts yet designed to eliminate global cancer health disparities
