Building the World's Premier Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Cloud (C4)

Updated: Jan 11, 2020

On May 26th 2018, the world's premier comprehensive cancer center in the cloud was launched at the Global Health Catalyst (GHC) summit to dramatically increase access to world class cancer care, research and education as part of the GHC win-win initiative following 3 years of needs assessment in Africa. Shortly after its launch that C4 won the first award from the AAPM in Nashville Tennessee for the Education component for building the capacity of oncology health professionals in Africa. C4 allows for any oncology health professional in high income countriess (HIC) as well as leaders in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) even with 30 minutes a week to be able to pool that time and participate in global health either by teaching a course, consulting or offering second opinion or serving as a mentor for research, and so forth. At the same time, it allows for any cancer patient with access to a computer or phone to access world-class medical consultation/second opinion, and for online training and participation in planned clinical trials and other collaborative research.
